Miss American Teen

WELCOME TEEN CONTESTANTS
One thing I’ve learned that in order to achieve your dreams you’ve got to work hard,  always believe in yourself and shoot for the stars because you’re worth it!!  I’ve been active with the American Coed Pageant for several years and what an absolute awesome experience it continues to be!!

My first year I was a nervous pre teen with glasses and braces but I calmed down J and was named as a semifinalist. I couldn’t have been happier that day and was glad that I applied for the pageant and knew I was getting closer to my dream of one day winning the title. Over the next several years I was privileged to be part of the queens court several times, won Top Model and Sportswear awards in the Pre teen and Jr Teen divisions and won the titles of Miss American Coed Jr Teen and Teen Queen.  With hard work, determination and prayers the possibilities are endless and dreams do come true!

Since being named Miss Illinois American Coed Teen in  July 2007 I made a list of goals for the upcoming year and wanted to make sure I took advantage of the opportunities in front of me. We have an awesome State Director Maria Rito who has kicked the experience up a notch by hosting pre pageant workshops and arranging dozens of  key community service and photo opportunities such as:

 The Special Olympics, Avon Breast Cancer Walk,The Chicago Bears Media day, and meeting with Mike Ditka, Opening Day of Great America and Several parades!

When I wear my crown and banner during appearances I’m proud to be representing the American Coed family and the great state of Illinois. It’s been a very exciting and rewarding year during my reign highlighted by attending the Nationals in Disney World during Thanksgiving week as the representative for Illinois. 

I continue to think how lucky I am that I took the opportunity to participate in the American Coed Pageants. My dreams have come true and I hope yours will as well. I wish you a safe and rewarding year and remember it’s never too early to start preparing for the 2008 Illinois pageant. Hope to see you there!
