Miss American Junior Teen

WELCOME JR. TEEN CONTESTANTS!
 
Hello, my name is Cassandra Ferrin, your 2007-2008 Miss Illinois Jr. Teen.  WOW!  What a year this has been.  I guess you could say that I am a real American Coed veteran, along with Shannon Lersch (Miss Illinois U.S.A.!!!)  I have had the pleasure of winning the titles of Miss Illinois Petite Princess 1996, Miss Illinois Princess 1998, Miss Illinois Sweetheart 2001, and now Miss Illinois Jr. Teen 2007.  I cant believe everything that American Coed has brought into my life!  I have friends from all over the United States, some of whom I have kept in contact with since nationals 1996. My friend Gillian that I met from Florida that year and her family have become very close with my whole family.  We even go to their house when we are vacationing in Florida to spend time with them.  I feel very blessed to have been able to attend nationals all those years and meet all these wonderful friends.  This year was the first year I was back since 2001 but still, there were so many girls that I knew from back then.  American Coed is such an amazing system, that is why girls keep coming back year after year.
 
I think the most exciting part of being part of the Illinois Royalty this year is our new WONDERFUL director, Maria Rito.  This has been the most exciting year for all of us.  We have attended several parades, got to meet several of the former Chicago Bears at their event, attended the Chicago Blackhawks game, have been invited to be the “Royalty” at Great America for their opening day festivities, not to mention the big going away party that Maria had for all of us before nationals!
 
I really hope you get the chance to compete this year to find out what I am talking about.  The state pageant weekend is such fun, you wont want it to end!  If you have any questions, or just want to talk, dont be shy, I would be happy to chat!
